How to interpret atv wheel sizes - ex. "9x5 (3+2)"
Example: "9x5 (3+2)"
Let's see what the numbers in this wheel size example "9x5 (3+2)" actually means
- 9x5 indicates the actual WHEEL SIZE
- (3+2) represents of the proportions in wich the wheel is devided length-wise, generally called the 'OFFSET'
WHEEL SIZE 9x5 and OFFSET (3+2)
The centerline respresented in the image is located where the rim would be mounted on the wheel hubs.
9 inches = rim diameter/height
5 inches = rim width
3 inches = distance between mounting centerline and the inside wheel edge
2 inches = distance between mounting centerline and the outside wheel edge
